With just five natural ingredients that are incredible for anti-aging skin, you can whip up a luxurious balm perfect for hydrating and soothing dry skin to leave it healthy and youthful.

This DIY rose balm recipe includes shea butter and carrier oils with anti-aging benefits. Beeswax is a natural emulsifier and thickener and has fantastic skincare benefits. DIY Rose Balm Recipe For Glowing Skin!

Ingredients:

  1. Carrier Oil (Jojoba* or Sweet Almond Oil*) – 1/4 cup
  2. Beeswax* – 2 tablespoons
  3. Shea Butter* – 2 tablespoons
  4. Rose Essential Oil* – 10-15 drops (adjust to desired fragrance strength)
  5. Natural Colorant (Optional) – Use a small slice of non-toxic lipstick* for color or a tiny amount of beetroot* or hibiscus powder* for a soft pink hue.

  1. Prepare Your Workstation: Set up your double boiler or a heatproof bowl over a saucepan with simmering water. This indirect heat method will ensure the gentle melting of ingredients without overheating.
  2. Combine Carrier Oil, Beeswax, and Shea Butter: Add the carrier oil, beeswax, and shea butter to the double boiler or heatproof bowl. Allow them to melt together slowly, stirring occasionally with your utensil.
  3. Incorporate Rose Essential Oil: Once the mixture is completely melted and combined, remove it from heat. Add the rose essential oil drops and stir well to distribute the fragrance evenly throughout the mixture.
  4. Add Natural Colorant (Optional): If you desire a tinted balm, add a pinch of non-toxic lipstick or a tiny amount of beetroot or hibiscus powder at this stage. Stir thoroughly until the colorant is evenly dispersed.
  5. Pour Into Containers: Carefully pour the melted balm mixture into clean, dry containers or jars. Allow the mixture to cool completely at room temperature. As it cools, it will solidify into a creamy balm consistency.
  6. Label and Store: Once cooled and solidified, label your homemade rose balm containers with the date and ingredients used. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain the balm’s quality.
