How To Make A DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray!

Everyone loves how they feel and look after days spent at the beach: sunkissed skin and tousled, wavy, beachy hair. If you want to get that just back from the beach look, enhance your wavy or curly hair, or create a messy texture, making a sea salt spray for your hair can give you that easy, breezy, natural volume and hold!

While you can use any salt for this recipe, don’t reach for those cheaper table salts; Dead Sea salts are among the best. These salts have numerous healing benefits for the skin and the body’s well-being. They are relaxing, soothing to achy joints and muscles, and rich in minerals we sometimes lack.

Discover gourmet salts and their benefits in this post; however, for that beachy vibe and incredible benefits, Dead Sea salts are fantastic to use in DIY recipes as they contain a unique combination of nutrients and minerals that makes them highly prized for their beauty and wellness benefits.

The Benefits of Dead Sea Salts For The Hair.

Dead Sea salts are highly beneficial to the hair and scalp, promoting scalp health and adding texture and volume to the hair. The benefits come from the unique combination of minerals that form in the salts in the Dead Sea. They include Potassium, Calcium, Bromide, Iodine, Sulphur, Sodium, and Zinc.

There are many different ways to use these salts in your hair, from scalp scrubs to shampoos and conditioners, but one of the easiest and most practical ways is to make a homemade Natural Dead Sea Salt spray.

There are many different salts that you can use in your hair, so experiment; you don’t have to use Dead Sea Salts, although we love them for their mineral benefits.

DIY Dead Sea Salt Spray Recipe for Beachy, Tousled Hair!

When making DIY recipes, look at similar products’ ingredient lists and use them to base your recipes on them. The benefit of this is that you can control the exact ingredient list, add or subtract things, and control the fragrance.

You will need the following;

Instructions;

  • Heat filtered water in a small pan on the stove, almost to boiling. It needs to be hot enough to dissolve the salts.
  • Add in all other ingredients and stir.
  • Once cooled, pour it into a glass spray bottle. You may need a funnel if you don’t have a pan with a lip.
  • Voila! Spray on damp or dry hair and scrunch!

Use this Spray sparingly; it contains natural, beneficial ingredients, but sea salt can dry if you overdo it, so follow up with an excellent natural moisturizing conditioner after washing it out. This Spray will be good to go for at least 1 to 2 months. Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate.

How To Use Dead Sea Salt Hair Spray.

  • Scrunch onto wet hair
  • Refresh dry, frizzy hair
  • Spray hair and twist or braid overnight
  • Revive limp hair curls
  • Spritz straight hair to create texture and volume
  • Tousle through short hair for fullness

Dead Sea Salt on your hair provides volume, waves, and texture, plus the bonus of its unique mineral benefits, but a salt spray isn’t the only way to do this. Our scalps often suffer from itchy, flaky, dry skin and product build-up. Making a DIY Dead Sea Salt scrub for occasional use can help exfoliate and detoxify the scalp for optimal hair growth and thickness.

Don’t forget to keep your hair hydrated and moisturized; one of the best ways to do this is with natural plant carrier oils. What are the best oils for your hair? Find out in this post!
