DIY White Kaolin Clay And Manuka Honey Face mask For Sensitive Skin.

Why Is Kaolin Clay Good For Sensitive Skin?

White Kaolin Clay is often known as white clay or China clay and is delicate, light, versatile clay that is suitable for soothing sensitive skin. It hails from wet, humid conditions in China, Brazil, Pakistan, and the USA, among other places.

Kaolin clay, named after the hills in China called Kao-ling, has been mined for hundreds of years. This clay has been a topical and an internal ingredient throughout history due to its incredible natural benefits.

Your irritated, problem-prone skin can benefit enormously from the natural mineral content of the softer, more gentle clays, like White Kaolin clay. Minerals include;

  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Potassium
  • Iron
  • Copper
  • Selenium
  • Zinc

Use Kaolin clay twice a week to help soothe irritating, red, or inflamed skin. The minerals from Kaolin clay are absorbed by the skin and help to nourish and balance it. Clay has natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a natural way to calm the skin and balance its PH levels.

Kaolin clay has a PH level similar to that of the skin; it can also help to tone and tighten it. Other valuable benefits for the skin include;

  • Exfoliates
  • Detoxifies
  • Purifies
  • Cleanses
  • Absorbs oil
  • Softens

The Benefits Of Manuka Honey For Skincare.

Manuka tree flowers bloom for only 2-6 weeks a year, they are grown in the pristine forests of New Zealand and Australia, which means there are no pesticides or impurities on the product. The resulting Manuka honey has become renowned for its unique anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties.

These unique properties and the resulting benefits have made Manuka honey not only a sought-after product for health and wellness but a cult beauty favorite.  An increasing number of beauty creams, lotions, and hair products now contain this ‘liquid gold’ from New Zealand and Australia.

The Benefits of Manuka honey on the skin are;

  • Highly emollient,
  • Anti-inflammatory,
  • Great Humectant qualities.

The potent anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial properties of Manuka honey balance bacteria on the skin, soften it and increase hydration levels. Manuka Honey is an excellent ingredient to use in face masks, where its softening healing benefits can soothe sensitive blemish-prone skin.

Studies on honey show that its anti-bacterial properties inhibit the growth of p.acnes and s.acnes that cause acne.

Suppose you also suffer from more severe skin conditions, which make your skin even more sensitive to certain products. In that case, naturally, the ant-oxidants in Manuka honey can help soothe conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

Manuka honey’s regenerative and exfoliating properties help sensitive, difficult skin heal and regain a smoother tone, texture, and glow.
